Facility Details: VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to help care for our Veterans America s Heroes! At the VA, our health care teams are deeply experienced and guided by the needs of Veterans, their families, and caregivers.
The VA Loma Linda Healthcare system is affiliated with Loma Linda University Health Medical School. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows is an integral part of the position. Position Details:

• Assessmen t of, consultation for, and preparation of patients for anesthesia including pre-operative patient exam and assessment.
• Provision of insensibility to pain during surgical, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures and the management of patients so affected.
• Monitoring and restoration of homeostasis during the perioperative period, as well as homeostasis in the critically ill, injured, or otherwise seriously ill patient.
• Diagnosis and intraoperative treatment of painful syndromes.
• Clinical management and teaching of cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation.
• Evaluation of respiratory function and application of respiratory therapy in all its forms.
• Supervision, teaching, and evaluation of performance of both medical and paramedical personnel in anesthesia.
• Administrative involvement in hospitals, medical schools, and outpatient facilities necessary for implementation of these responsibilities.
• Involvement in quality improvement efforts if desired.

Salary: $350,000 - $380,000 per year

Work Schedule: Weekday or Weekend Sat or Sunday in house. (Hours are flexible and may vary).

Preferred Experience: ABA Board Certified or Board Eligible
