Project Engineer

Job DescriptionPerformance Contracting is seeking an experiencedProject Engineer for its Washington, DC operations based in Ashburn, VA. This role will be based in Ashburn, VA, with required travel or relocation to support specific project needs.This individual will also be responsible for the following duties:Job responsibilities include:Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenancePrepare RFI’s and submittalsPerform quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change ordersCreate and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremenCreate and manage punch lists and job closeout documentationSupport the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC programAssist in other duties as assignedThis position is safety-sensitive.Salary range: $86,400 - 116,000 annual salary plus a non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.Basic RequirementsMust have at least 2 years’ experience supporting or managing construction projectsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawingsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learnedStrong customer service skills and relationship-building abilitiesAbility to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiativeWorks well under pressure and deadlinesPossess critical-thinking and problem-solving skillsPreferred RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related disciplineExperience managing specialty scopes of constructionOSHA certificationThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.JobFamilyProject ManagementJobFunctionProject ManagementPayTypeSalary
