In the role of a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will be essential in delivering empathetic care to mothers and their infants. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care as well as supervising other caregivers to ensure the highest quality of service is maintained. This position demands a solid grasp of patient care protocols and the ability to make informed decisions in challenging situations.
- Conduct thorough assessments and gather data focusing on physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive aspects
- Execute care plans while adhering to established guidelines and policies
- Recognize and address patient educational needs and readiness
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records
- Effectively delegate and oversee patient care tasks
- Commit to professional development through ongoing education
- Ensure adherence to safety and organizational standards
- Act as Charge Nurse when necessary, managing patient assignments and coordinating staff coverage
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant setting
- Current RN Licensure in Washington State
- Obtain HCP Level of BLS within 30 days of employment
- NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required within specified timeframes
