Chemist

The Chemist supports the Finished Product, Stability, and In-Process Team by performing routine chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process samples, stability samples, and finished products within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment. This role is responsible for executing validated analytical methods, documenting test results accurately, maintaining laboratory instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $ 21.00/hr.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, in-process materials, stability samples, and finished products using validated analytical methods.
• Conduct analyses for identity, strength, purity, impurities, and other quality attributes using chromatography, spectroscopy, and traditional wet chemistry techniques.
• Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation as needed.
• Identify, investigate, and report out-of-specification (OOS), atypical, or unexpected analytical results.
• Accurately document laboratory testing, observations, calculations, and analytical results in accordance with established procedures.
• Record and report data using laboratory documentation systems and applicable software.
• Prepare laboratory reagents, standards, and testing materials as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory environment.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional departments to support laboratory operations.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company safety policies.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another related scientific discipline required.

Experience

• No previous professional laboratory experience required.
• Internship, academic laboratory, or research experience is highly preferred.
• Experience using chromatography systems or laboratory data acquisition software is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic understanding of analytical chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
• Familiarity with chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry, and quantitative analytical methods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and laboratory software systems.
• Ability to prioritize workload and perform effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
