RN - Wound Care

Wound Ostomy Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-Hour schedule (07:00 - 19:00), Wednesday through Friday.

The Wound Ostomy Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for patients with complex wound, ostomy, and continence issues. This position requires national certification in wound care and ostomy management, along with the ability to float between various units as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with wound and ostomy needs.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding wound and ostomy care.
• Utilize various wound care products and techniques, including vacuum-assisted closure and enzymatic debridement.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current and valid RN license (WA or Compact) is required.
• National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy Certification (WOCN) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
