What You've Accomplished

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering, or a related field

At least 7 years of directly related experience

Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria

Above average communication skills, including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, email, presentations, customer deliverables)

Ability to grow developed networks and maintain good interpersonal relationships

Experience working collaboratively within a team environment

Strong advanced problem identification and resolution skills

Displayed leadership characteristics

Maintaining a questioning attitude and practices self-checking

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and business unit-specific software tools (e.g., CAD, FEA, CFD) and computer programming skills

Familiarity with light water reactors and are experienced with the plant system thermal-hydraulic and core response during transients

As an Experienced RELAP Safety Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

Performing new or revising existing postulated accident analyses using a Framatome version of RELAP5.

Evaluating and documenting the impact of plant and core design changes on existing Safety Analyses.

Contributing to methods development activities in support of new fuel products, customer requirements, or changes in the licensing regulations.

Contributing to the development of automation and software tools to improve operating efficiency or software capabilities.

Working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful customer delivery.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $123,000 - $167,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
