Trampoline & Tumbling (T&T) Competitive Coach

At Seattle Gymnastics Academy, we operate programs under three types of categories: Play, Learn and Compete. Our Compete program is intended for gymnasts who have already experienced and progressed in our Learn (recreational) program, and have shown interest and aptitude to advance to a competitive experience, and have a coach referral.We are looking for qualified coaches to nurture and grow our competitive T&T (Trampoline & Tumbling) program at SGA. You will join a team of other supportive and well-established T&T coaches to help expand the growing popularity of this exciting gymnastics discipline.SGA is committed to an environment that is safe, leads with positive reinforcement, and teaches skills in progressive manner. Many of our instructors work in multiple departments, teaching a wide range of ages and levels, and T&T Coaches on the Competitive Team are likely to teach in our Learn (recreational) program as well.SGA Coaches must demonstrate a commitment to a safe, positive environment where our athletes can compete, develop, and flourish.Creating your own lesson plans and tracking skill development. We provide the resources, but you get to be creative in how you want to teach your gymnasts. We offer state of the art equipment – both on the gymnastics floor and technology- so you have the tools you need to be successful.Follows SGA Mission, Vision and ValuesCommunicates to front desk and marketing regarding programmingContinually assess program for successMarkets / promotes program internally and externallyWorks with other site Program Directors on overall gym programming and consistency as well as curriculum developmentCommunicating with SGA parents about their child’s progression in your classes. Our coaches play a key role in their development as a child and as an athlete.Participating in our paid training opportunities. This can include our SGA University courses, USA Gymnastics clinics, sessions offered by our in-house SGA trainers, and moreAssist in light cleaning and sanitation duties to keep our gyms fresh and ready for the next round of classesPerforms other duties as assignedSGA is looking for:Minimum age of 18 years of age to fulfill all coaching and administrative responsibilitiesPrevious experience coaching T&T, or as a high level gymnastKnowledge of USAG Code of Points, USAG Safety Certification preferredAbility to spot athletes safely and effectivelyAbility to build meaningful relationships with both youth and adultsEnthusiastic about working with youth - previous experience preferredExperience working in fast-paced, active environmentsAbility to resolve any conflict or disagreements that may ariseDesire to promote a positive learning environment for every childDesire to grow and lead within SGAWe are looking for team members who are available primarily during weekday afternoon and evenings.
