Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a multi-suite OR environment handling approximately 12 cases per day
• Support a broad range of surgical procedures including total joints, ORIFs, tendon repairs, hernia, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, robotic bowel resection, endoscopic sinus surgery, and pediatric tonsil and adenoid cases
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call rotations, including one overnight call shift per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend
• Collaborate with OR technicians and CRNAs as part of the on-call team
• Occasionally float to other departments such as ED, med-surg, or LTC based on comfort level and departmental need
• Clock in and out on-site per facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with general surgery and orthopedic procedures including total joints
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Robotics experience
• GI procedural experience
• Scrub experience (preferred but not required)
• Ophthalmology or cataract case experience (facility willing to train)
