Office Support/Sample Login Specialist

This position serves as a support roll for the laboratory. This role ensures efficient and accurate running of a fast-paced laboratory. Responsible for greeting clients, vendors and visitors to the laboratory and answering general questions. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm. Must live a commutable distance to Ayer MA. This is a full time benefit eligible position. Compensation is $20/hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Collect samples from on-site drop box
• Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample
• Organize and record samples
• Data entry into LIMS (TALS experience a PLUS)
• Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
• Assist with customer services
• Handle interactions with walk-in clients
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Process daily mail and small shipments of bottle kits.
• Provide great customer Service to walk in clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, further education in biological or chemical science preferred
• Experience in a fast pace work environment
• Lab experience and exposure to environmental industry preferred.
• TALS experience a plus

Ability and Skills:

• Strong computer, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
• Handle moderate stress in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented- Data Entry
• Ability to prioritize
• Customer Service
• Science based background preferred
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Please note - Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
