Phlebotomist - Team Lead

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomy Team Leader at West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY. Work Schedule Monday – Friday, 8¬am–5¬pm; additional days and hours may be required. Job Responsibilities Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy duties. Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites. Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor. Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings. Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed. Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary. Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs. Address customer service issues promptly and respectfully. Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and make schedule adjustments as needed. Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers. Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Three (3) years or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications Five (5) years or more of phlebotomy experience. One (1) year or more of experience as a people leader. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques. Proven track record in exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working with minimal supervision. Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Pay Range $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on skills and experience). Phlebotomists may be eligible for a PST Incentive Plan bonus.
