Staff Pharmacist - Lompoc, California

Provide pharmacy expertise in an acute care and long-term care setting along the California coast. This role supports a facility with 60 acute care beds and over 100 long-term care beds, ensuring safe and effective medication management.


Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee daily operations
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient care
• Utilize Altera Sunrise IT system (full training provided)

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license required
• Current hospital experience preferred
• Strong communication and clinical skills
• Ability to adapt to variable schedules and fast-paced healthcare environment

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week, variable days and afternoons
• Immediate start; assignment duration approximately 13 weeks
