Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly technical and experienced individual to fill the role of Software Engineer within our Industrial System Analytics (ISA) team. As a Software Engineer you will provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, driving the design and implementation of cloud analytic solutions using GCP tools and techniques. Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable full-stack applications. Contribute to both front-end user interfaces and back-end services, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and architectural patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. Design and implement database schemas and manage data interactions efficiently using SQL. Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for cloud resources on GCP. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools like GitHub Actions, Tekton to automate software delivery processes. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply them to improve our software products.Skills Required:Python, React, Angular, GCP, GCP Cloud Run, JavaSkills Preferred:Product DesignExperience Required:Engineer 2 Exp.: Practitioner: Full Stack Developer ( Python and React, Angular) 4+ years in IT; 3+ years in developmentExperience Preferred:Front-End Proficiency: Expertise in at least one modern front-end framework:AngularorReact. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, SCSS Back-End Proficiency: Strong proficiency inPython. Experience with Python web frameworks such asFlaskandFastAPI. Database Skills: Proficiency inSQLfor querying, manipulating, and designing relational databases. Demonstrated ability to design and implement efficient databaseschemas. Cloud Platform: Solid understanding and practical experience withGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)services, includingGCS (Google Cloud Storage),Cloud Run, andAPIGEE. Development Tools & Practices: Proficient withGitHubfor version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests. Experience withTerraformfor infrastructure as code. Strong understanding and experience implementing and managingCI/CD pipelines, particularly withGitHub Actions. Networking & Web Concepts: Strong understanding ofnetworking conceptscrucial for web product development (e.g., DNS, load balancing, APIs, security). General: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
