This assignment is a travel position within a hospital setting and involves outpatient infusion therapy for adult oncology patients.

- Chemotherapy and biotherapy administration certified

Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult oncology patients in an outpatient infusion setting
- Monitor patient status during infusions, respond to adverse reactions, and adjust care as directed
- Manage venous access, infusion pumps, and aseptic technique; handle hazardous drugs per protocol
- Document all care in the Epic EMR and maintain accurate medication administration records
- Provide patient and family education on infusion therapy, potential side effects, and self-care strategies
- Coordinate with physicians, pharmacists, and other team members to ensure safe, timely treatment and appropriate scheduling
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio around 4:1 per shift to support high-throughput infusion care

Requirements
- Vermont Registered Nurse license (active)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; minimum 2 years in the oncology/infusion specialty
- Chemo and biotherapy certification required; trained to administer chemotherapy in an outpatient clinic setting
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Ability to work in an outpatient infusion clinic environment; schedule involves 8:00 am–5:00 pm shifts; orientation as needed; bi-weekly orientations scheduled
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team
