Senior Manager, Data Engineering

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• We want someone with at least ten years of business or technical experience, including people leadership and data expertise.
• We expect an undergraduate degree or an equivalent mix of education and relevant experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
• We need experience leading data engineering teams and delivering scalable data solutions.
• We value experience partnering with business and technical stakeholders to define needs and deliver data products.
• We look for a track record of turning business requirements into practical data engineering solutions.
• We want proven success delivering data initiatives in complex or uncertain environments.
• We require familiarity with modern data engineering tools and cloud platforms such as AWS or similar.
• We value hands-on or leadership experience with data modeling, data quality, and data management practices.
• Preferred: exposure to modern data platforms such as data lakes, real-time systems, or Databricks.
• Preferred: familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI and analytics workflows.
• Preferred: strong understanding of data and analytics principles, including quality and modeling.
• Preferred: experience driving change and influencing adoption across teams.
• Preferred: confidence making decisions in ambiguous or high-stakes environments.

• We lead and develop a team of managers, technical leads, and engineers, strengthening our leadership pipeline and high-performing engineering culture through coaching, performance standards, and career development.
• We own the full lifecycle of enterprise data products and platforms, from definition and build through delivery and optimization, with a focus on scalability, reuse, quality, and business impact.
• We direct planning, prioritization, and execution of data product roadmaps and engineering initiatives aligned to business outcomes and enterprise strategy.
• We design and build scalable data pipelines, platforms, and frameworks that support efficient integration, self-service access, and insight generation from large, complex datasets.
• We establish and enforce data quality, governance, and observability practices to maintain integrity, consistency, and trust across our data ecosystem.
• We partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape data strategy, influence operating models, and deliver high-value, outcome-driven solutions.
• We assess and introduce modern data technologies and architecture patterns to improve scalability, performance, developer experience, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• We take part in special projects and handle other assigned duties as needed.
