Mechanic

Position: Crane/Diesel/Truck Mechanic Location: Albuquerque Reports to: Branch Manager Pay: $32.76 - $39.55 per hour, depending on experience. RMS Crane & Rigging, Inc. is a union position requiring membership with Local 953 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. The role is full-time, performing maintenance and repairs on cranes, forklifts, and other equipment. The technician must follow all state and federal laws as well as safety and environmental policies while operating motor vehicles and performing job tasks. Responsibilities Supply own tools with up-to-date inventory. Perform scheduled maintenance on cranes, forklifts, and other equipment. Document all maintenance and repair activities and keep proper records. Work independently with minimal supervision. Lift up to 40 lbs. Understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits. Work evenings, weekends, and travel as required. Communicate safety issues to customers and coworkers. Report to supervisor and/or lead mechanic on task completion. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electronic, and mechanical crane systems. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least 2 years experience as a crane mechanic in diesel trucking or heavy equipment environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Capable of lifting 40 lbs. and above.
