Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Outpatient (OT OP) in a medical setting. This role involves providing occupational therapy interventions to patients through assessment, care planning, and treatment, with a focus on helping patients regain independence and function. The employee will work under supervision to deliver patient-centered care appropriate for a diverse patient population and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, with 1 weekend shift per month. Shift hours are 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD); California Occupational Therapy License; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Epic experience required, with a minimum of 6 months within the past year.
• Provides occupational therapy interventions to assess patients, develop care plans, and administer treatment per referral.
• Demonstrates skills in patient assessment, care planning, administration of therapy, and documentation of treatment.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care based on the patient's age and clinical needs.
• Coordinates with case managers and other healthcare providers for continued patient care after discharge.
• Assists in training and mentoring new employees and therapy students.
• Assumes duties of Charge Therapist as needed and ensures department objectives are met.
• Adheres to all safety standards and hospital policies.
• Performs other clinical duties as assigned.
• Note: Manager will NOT consider applications from new graduates or candidates without acute care experience.
