Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Psychiatric/Behavioral Health night shift position requiring an active AR or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of behavioral health experience.

Job Details

• Adult inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health unit,
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM,
• Every other weekend required,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active AR RN license or compact (multi-state) RN license currently in hand - no pending licenses,
• Current BLS certification required (must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start),
• SAMA (Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression) certification required; can be completed at the facility if not already held,
• Minimum 1 year of recent Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience required,
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• Valid U.S. driver's license required for consideration,
• U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provides nursing care to adult psychiatric patients using the Nursing Process in alignment with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies,
• Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care,
• Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel,
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - local travelers will not be considered,
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible,
• RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
