Phlebotomist

What you will do Ensure venipuncture and capillary punctures align with PSC policy with high accuracy Gather specimens across all age groups, proficient in urine drug screen collection Complete requisitions accurately, adhering to policy Properly handle patient identification and specimen processing Label and prepare specimens correctly for testing Verify billing information for accuracy Skilled in collecting PCR nasopharyngeal swabs and performing POCT testing Retrieve, process, and store specimens as per protocol Maintain appropriate specimen storage temperatures and prepare batches for transport Manage order and specimen flow Assist in troubleshooting patient draw, order, and specimen issues Operate and maintain departmental equipment, ensuring functionality Communicate effectively and courteously, prioritizing customer service Conduct regular inventory checks and replenish supplies as needed Adhere to regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies Perform other job duties as requested Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must have recent phlebotomy training or experience, with at least 100 venipunctures completed. Certification required Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
