City/StateCharlottesville, VAWork ShiftThird (Nights)Overview:Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nursefor the Freestanding Emergency Department.This is a full time Night shift (12-hr shift) position in Charlottesville, VA.Up to $20,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates. The Free-Standing Emergency Room is a 13-bed facility seeing about 60 patients a day with a physician and PA on staff as well as additional support including ED Techs. This well supported department is centered around teamwork and patient- first mindset. In an emergency, quick access to skilled care makes all the difference. That's why Sentara offers access to emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our management team has been long standing and diligent about building a cohesive and dedicated care team to serve the Charlottesville, VA area.Required Call: Full Time nurses have 16 hours of required call per 6 weeks. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
