Registered Nurse ( RN )Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements,and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned
- Ensures compliance with currentapplicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies andprocedures
- Reviews complaints and grievances made orfiled by staff. Makes appropriatereports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary
- Ensures an adequate stock of medications,medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit toadequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel ofneeds
- Assists in the development of writtenpreliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of eachresident
- Makes nursing/aide assignments asindicated
- Encourages staff to attend andparticipate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
- Minimum of two (2) years of experienceproviding direct care in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as anursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting (preferred)
- Current CPR Certification
- Must also meet state requirements forrelevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effectagainst professional license
