Virtual Currency Senior Analyst (Financial Services Specialist 2 (Compliance), SG-23)

The Virtual Currency Senior Analyst serves as a compliance specialist for New York State Department of Financial Services, overseeing regulated virtual currency and limited‑purpose trust companies holding BitLicenses. The role involves conducting risk‑based assessments, leading examinations, preparing compliance reports, and staying current on emerging risks in blockchain and digital assets. The position requires travel up to 50% within and outside New York State and is based in Albany or New York City. Qualifications Seven years of specialized experience evaluating financial institutions' compliance programs, lending/deposit transactions, or regulatory adherence Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti‑Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and OFAC regulations Experience with virtual currency business models, blockchain analytics, or trust company operations Demonstrated ability to identify unfair, deceptive, abusive or discriminatory practices in financial services Bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of specialized experience (or higher degree equivalents) #J-18808-Ljbffr DGS Office of External Affairs
