RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Vice President role include, but are not limited to:

• Lead the Business. Translate ownership’s vision into clear priorities, measurable goals, and consistent execution across Fabritek and Winchester Tool.
• Unify the Organization. Align both businesses around shared expectations, communication practices, and performance standards.
• Build Leadership Accountability. Coach the leadership team, clarify responsibilities, strengthen follow-through, and develop independent decision-makers.
• Strengthen Planning and Scheduling. Improve capacity planning, production scheduling, workflow, turnaround times, and coordination between facilities.
• Improve Quoting and Job Selection. Strengthen estimating, pricing, contract review, and job acceptance based on profitability and operational risk.
• Drive Profitability and Financial Performance. Use financial and operating data to improve margins, cash flow, inventory, procurement, and productivity.
• Establish Meaningful Performance Measures. Develop KPIs and scorecards that provide visibility into sales, backlog, margin, delivery, quality, and capacity.
• Improve Processes and Systems. Standardize workflows, documentation, handoffs, and controls using appropriate continuous improvement methods.
• Oversee Quality and Compliance. Maintain the Quality Management System and compliance with customer, industry, safety, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Develop the Workforce. Guide workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, succession, and retention.
• Optimize Production and Facilities. Improve equipment utilization, maintenance, facility layout, production flow, safety, quality, and throughput.
• Solidify Customer and Vendor Partnerships. Address complex customer requirements while improving vendor performance, purchasing discipline, and material availability.
• Lead Through EOS Principles. Drive quarterly Rocks, scorecard accountability, productive leadership meetings, and effective issue resolution.
• Guide Technology Improvements. Solidify the use of E2 JobBOSS, CRM tools, digital workflows, reporting, and documentation.
• Partner with Ownership. Provide candid information, sound recommendations, and dependable execution in support of long-term strategy.

** This is a full-time, in-person position based in Winchester, VA. **

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 5 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a job shop manufacturing environment.
• 3 to 5 years of experience leading leaders across multiple functions or departments.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-mix production scheduling, capacity planning, workflow, quoting, estimating, procurement, and on-time delivery.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience using P&L statements, margin analysis, job costing, inventory, cash flow, and operating metrics to improve profitability.
• Executive level experience as a President, General Manager, Chief Executive Officer, Vice President, or comparable operational leader within a privately held production or job shop organization generating $10M or more in annual revenue.

Preferred

• Experience leading a privately held, family-owned, or employee-owned manufacturing business and working directly with ownership.
• Responsibility for $30M to $50M in annual revenue or proven results scaling a manufacturing organization toward that level.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining, welding, fabrication, technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and precision manufacturing processes.
• Experience overseeing multiple facilities, business units, or geographically separate operations.
• Working knowledge of quality control, quality management systems, safety, documentation, and customer compliance expectations in a precision manufacturing environment.

Desired

• Proficiency in implementing or improving an ERP or CRM platform, particularly E2 JobBOSS or a comparable job shop manufacturing system.
• Aerospace, defense, government contracting, or highly regulated manufacturing experience, including familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ability to lead both machining and welding or fabrication operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, or a related discipline.
• MBA, advanced business degree, or relevant certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, quality systems, or continuous improvement.

Salary: $175k - $210k base salary, plus quarterly profit sharing
