BOILER PLANT WORKER

Duties

Performs work as assigned by the operator in charge of the watch. Under the direction of Boiler Plant Operator, lights off and secures boilers by opening and closing valves, cuts boiler in on line with another boiler. Checks equipment, etc. At two-hour intervals, checks accumulator and catapult areas. Performs scheduled maintenance. Assists in overhaul and maintenance of oilers, engines, and all related machinery to the power plant. Utilizes safety practices, rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
