Counselor Campus Assistance Program Employee Type: Unclassified Staff Department: VCAA-Campus Assistance Program Campus Location: VCAA Campus Assistance Program Job Summary / Basic Functions The Campus Assistance Program (CAP) counselor is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide employee assistance and occupational mental health and prevention services to the population served by the LSUHSC – CAP. Under the supervision of the CAP Director, the counselor is responsible for mental health crisis intervention, assessment, short-term counseling, case management, drug testing services, monitoring, and reporting. Minimum Qualifications Master's in Social Work – Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of DMS 5. Good clinical experience, ability to complete psychosocial history, provide case management. Working knowledge of substance use disorders.
