Job Description

The Yard Jockey supports day-shift yard operations by safely moving and positioning trailers, maintaining an organized yard, managing gate activity, and verifying loads and equipment. This role requires at least one year of truck-driving experience; a CDL is not required.

 

Responsibilities

• Move trailers throughout the yard safely and efficiently.
• Position trailers at designated docks and locations.
• Conduct routine yard inspections.
• Manage gate activity and verify trailer movements.
• Verify loads and trailer information.
• Perform equipment checks and report issues.
• Maintain yard organization and cleanliness.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and requirements.

 

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working as a truck driver.
• Ability to work the day shift.
• CDL is not required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in yard operations.
