Quality Control Technician

As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for testing/validating properties of wet samples that come into QC and preparing those samples for spray testing. You are responsible for property testing that is reported to the customer and is critical for accurate performance of the product. You will work onsite in Richmond, VA and report to the Quality Control Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests using standardized methods (e.g., titration, chromatography, spectroscopy, pH, viscosity, etc.)
• Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately and promptly
• Compare results against established specifications and report deviations
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
• Prepare test samples and solutions following SOPs and safety protocols
• Document all testing activities in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices
• Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and support investigations
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve non-conformances
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred
• Ability to understand detailed directions and record information accurately
• Basic knowledge of math and scientific principles
• Ability to be on your feet for most duties
• Ability to lift 25 lbs in order to handle materials
