Position Summary
The Staff Accountant supports daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role is responsible for cash management, accounts payable, payroll support, month-end close, fixed assets, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily banking activity, ACH/wire payments, and cash forecasting.
• Prepare and distribute financial and operational reports.
• Administer corporate credit card and expense reporting programs.
• Maintain vendor records and support accounts payable processes.
• Reconcile and post payroll transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Support annual audits and compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and policies.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Prior accounting, finance, or business analysis experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
• Must meet applicable screening, safety, and job-related requirements.
