Career Growth Job Details Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Designer (Revit), your key responsibilities will include: 1. Designing and drafting detailed mechanical systems for various construction projects using Revit.
2. Collaborating with the project team to develop innovative and efficient design solutions.
3. Reviewing and analyzing project specifications, and ensuring designs meet all necessary requirements.
4. Conducting detailed calculations to establish installation standards and specifications.
5. Inspecting installations and observing operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications, and safety standards.
6. Working closely with other designers, drafters, and engineers to ensure coordinated design systems.
7. Providing technical advice to project staff when needed.
8. Continually updating knowledge and staying current with new technology and equipment.
9. Ensuring that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
10. Participating in project meetings and providing updates on progress and challenges. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: 1. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience HVAC/mechanical systems design.
3. Proficiency in Revit is a must. Knowledge of other CAD software will be an added advantage.
4. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and construction methods.
5. Excellent technical drawing skills.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
9. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
10. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
