Job Description
Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2027 to join our Raleigh, NC office.
Your Role
Work alongside traffic engineers to compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of Transportation staff.
Perform field data collection of traffic data.
Assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis to allow the North Carolina Department of Transportation to make data-driven decisions.
Assist with writing code, scripts, or algorithms to analyze raw data for reports and graphics.
About You
EXPERIENCE: No experience is required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Additional Information
Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
