Environmental Services Director

Harmony Gardens, a Cassia community, has a rare opening for an Environmental Services Director to lead our team. As the Environmental Services Director , you'll oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry operations; manage preventative maintenance programs; and respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies as needed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on supervisor with a Boiler's License, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing exceptional customer service.

Position Type:  Full-Time

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Monday- Friday) including on-call for emergencies

Pay Range:  $68,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

Location: 1438 County Road C East, Maplewood, MN 55109

Environmental Services Director Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing the departments of maintenance, laundry and housekeeping direct routine maintenance repairs and projects, and respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff.
• Assist with schedules for preventative maintenance programs for major equipment and make sure it is in good operating condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests by residents and staff as well as perform routine repairs.
• Communicate and build relationships with outside vendors to ensure contracted services are performed.
• Serve on Safety Committee, managing records, and reviewing surveys. 
• Interact with health and safety inspectors to ensure the safety of all residents and staff.
• Respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.
• Complete heavy jani torial/ maintenance work as needed.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Environmental Services Director Qualifications:

• Boilers License is required.
• Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers, plumbing, and water supply systems.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with others within an interdisciplinary team and professionally interact with residents, family members, staff, corporate leadership, and outside contractors.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work as a team leader/supervisor, organize departmental goals and objectives
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests throughout the day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
• Previous experience in senior housing preferred, but not required.
