Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoOperate rebar fabrication equipment, such as shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders, etc.Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesParticipates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety CultureCrosstrain on multiple machinesAttend training regarding applicable equipmentAssist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailersMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly conditionPerform additional duties as neededWhat You'll NeedMinimum 1 year working with heavy industrial environment experience preferred but not requiredAbility to operate fabrication machines in a safe manner without supervisionMust be able to read technical documents and service manualsAble and willing to cross train as requiredPossess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the industrial fieldAbility to perform measurements with tape measures/calipers, etcAbility to use and understand basic linear measurements (i.e. feet, inches, decimals, and metric system)Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weatherFollow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulationsPossess a strong work ethic and practice safe working habitsAble to work overtime as business requiresMust be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions when neededStand for long periods of timeExcellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form are necessary to be successful in this roleBilingual Spanish preferredHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
