Travel Physical Therapist - $1,960 per week

Overview Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Girard, Ohio. The role requires a licensed Physical Therapist capable of providing comprehensive care to patients while traveling with a dedicated clinical team. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans utilizing a variety of techniques to enhance mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued progress in community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Experience in Physical Therapy (new graduates are welcome to apply). Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Basic PC skills. Physical & Technical Abilities Comfortable in stationary positions, moving about, and handling equipment weighing 50–100 lbs. Ability to push, pull, and bend as required by treatment protocols. Fine manipulation skills when assisting with procedures or using department equipment. Strong sensory and visual acuity for safe and effective patient care. Other Requirements Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
