Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain regular and predictable attendance. Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs. Support selling initiatives (TEAM): Thank the Customer Engage with the customer and/or pet Advise on products or services Make it Memorable Perform a variety of duties including operating cash register, merchandise recovery, participating in freight process, completing merchandising procedures, assembling merchandise, performing janitorial duties, executing price changes, assisting customers with loading, and caring for live animals, including sanitizing tanks and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications No experience required; retail and/or pet/live animal knowledge preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write, and count accurately is required. Preferred Skills and Abilities Pet/live animal, pet food, and product knowledge preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills. Interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict. Working Conditions Indoor environment with moderate noise; outdoor areas with hard surfaces. Shifts generally range from 4 to over 8 hours. Maintain a safe and productive work environment following safety guidelines. Physical Requirements Non-sedentary position requiring movement throughout the store and outdoor areas. Ability to lift or reach overhead, stand, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders. Ability to operate store equipment and process merchandise, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
