### Academic Physician - MD/DO - Critical Care IntensivistMO-SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital 1201 GrandActiveSaint Louis, MOPart TimePosted July 24, 2026### Job DescriptionSLUCare Physician Group, the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University School of Medicine, is seeking a PRN Critical Care Physician to provide supplemental coverage within our Critical Care Medicine program. This flexible opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking part-time or additional clinical work, with preference given to candidates interested in overnight coverage and those with Sleep Medicine training or experience.The physician will provide high-quality critical care services in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team while supporting the academic mission of Saint Louis University.Responsibilities• Provide inpatient critical care coverage in adult intensive care units on an as-needed basis• Support overnight and weekend coverage needs• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, nursing staff, and consulting services• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care coordination• Support teaching and supervision of residents and fellows when applicable• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentationPreferred Qualifications• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine• Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians encouraged to apply• Sleep Medicine fellowship training or board certification preferred• Interest in night coverage and flexible scheduling• Eligible for Missouri medical licensure and DEA registrationSSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, a LEVEL 1 Time Critical Diagnosis hospital in Stroke, Trauma and STEMI, is at the forefront of ground-breaking medical treatments, procedures, clinical trials and comprehensive patient care.
