Openwork is seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Quality Control Specialist to support a leading HVAC manufacturing operation in Houston. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong HVAC background who are passionate about quality, compliance, and ensuring systems meet performance standards. Your expertise will directly impact product reliability and overall operational success.

What You'll Do:

• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and change orders for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes.
• Perform routine quality inspections and audits across production processes.
• Conduct walkthroughs to identify issues and ensure quality standards are met.
• Track and support corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain detailed documentation, audit records, and reporting.
• Provide feedback and guidance to improve consistency and performance.

What You Bring: Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience required.
• At least 2+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced production environment.

Education and Training:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• HVAC technical training or vocational education is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to climb ladders and access equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
