Job details

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the organization's tax policies and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and other documentation.
• Provide guidance on tax implications of business decisions and potential acquisitions.
• Coordinate audits and inquiries by various taxation authorities.
• Implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize cash flow.
• Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide tax advice and guidance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation or Master's degree in Taxation is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting ideally in a manufacturing setting
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax codes and regulations.
• Proficient in ERP Systems, with experience in implementing and managing these systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
