This role puts you at the center of that work, with the backing of a nationally recognized organization behind you.As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will:Join a mission-driven, Joint Commission–accredited organization with the stability, resources, and reach of a national provider — without leaving your community.Make a direct impact by supporting patients through structured daily programming, helping them build the skills and accountability needed for lasting recovery.Work a schedule that fits Alaska living — Wednesday through Saturday means your Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday are yours, whether that's time on the water, in the field, or with family.Grow professionally in the behavioral health field, developing skills in patient engagement, group support, crisis prevention, and therapeutic program delivery.Bring your whole background to the work — lived experience with recovery is understood here and genuinely valued on our team.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to high-quality, trauma-informed care for the people we serve.Key Responsibilities:Support the delivery of structured daily programming and group coordinationBuild consistent, trust-based relationships with patients to reinforce engagement and progressMonitor patients and the facility environment and conduct regular safety checksCommunicate patient observations and needs to clinical and medical staffEnsure adherence to program structure and facility rulesDocument observations, safety checks, and incidents accurately and in a timely mannerTransport patients to and from the program and community appointmentsMeasure and record vital signsConduct UDS and breathalyzer testing in accordance with company policyProvide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout the program dayRecognize signs of clinical concern and refer appropriately to therapy or medical staffKeep Team Leaders and the Supervisor/Operations Director informed of relevant patient informationAssist with supply management, discharge preparations, and day-to-day facility operationsQualifications:Required:High school diploma/ EquivalentSafe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.Preferred:Relevant behavioral health certification.Work experience in the field of substance use disorder or mental health treatment.Experience supporting patients in outpatient, PHP, residential, or detox levels of care.Personal or professional familiarity with the recovery community in the Mat-Su Valley.Apply Now!If you're ready to put your experience and community roots to work for a mission-driven organization, we'd like to meet you.
