If youre looking for a role that values your skills and dedication, IPS is where youll thrive./ppResponsibilities Expectations:/ppThe IPS Los Angeles Service Center is looking for a Mechanic who will disassemble and cleaning electro-mechanical equipment, replace or repair worn components, retest equipment, assisting other mechanics, conduct teardowns and assemblies and performing various skilled or non-skilled duties independently and as directed by supervisors or managers. Responsibilities and duties include:/pulliRead job cards for status, work authorizations, and problem descriptions./liliTest electro-mechanical equipment for known or suspected issues using various methods (AC or DC)./liliDisassemble equipment, noting parts details and condition./liliClean equipment assemblies using various methods./liliMeasure or note proper replacement parts and requisition items as approved./liliReplace or repair worn assemblies (e.g., bearings, brushes, gears)./liliRetest reassembled equipment for proper operation./liliComplete accurate and timely paperwork for each job./liliOperate specialized repair and testing equipment./liliObserve safety procedures and use proper protective gear./liliLift, tighten, adjust, or secure heavy objects./liliMaintain a clean work area as directed by the supervisor./liliAssist other mechanics or shop personnel as directed./liliPerform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor./liliRun test panels independently./liliTeardown, inspect, and assemble rolling element bearing motors and pumps without supervision./liliConduct RCFA with supervision./liliVerify machine work accuracy without supervision./liliRead, verify, and record external winding connections independently./liliComplete the required paperwork accurately and on time./liliAssist in the teardown, inspection, and assembly of various equipment without supervision./liliMeasure rotor TIR without supervision./li/ulpQualifications and Competencies:/pulli5+ years experience as a AC/DC motor mechanic preferred./liliAvailable to work Monday - Friday 3p - 11p PST and OT as needed./liliDemonstrated proficiency in mechanical skills./liliEffective English communication skills, both verbally and in writing./liliCapability to comprehend, execute, and retain various skill-based training, as well as operational and safety procedures as demonstrated by a supervisor./liliSafety-conscious professional with the ability to perform tasks in dynamic environments with moving components./liliComfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights to ensure a secure and efficient workspace./liliRegularly handle loads of up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds./liliQuick response ability to avoid or mitigate potentially dangerous situations, navigate uneven terrain safely, and climb ladders with up to 50 pounds./liliRegular duties involve standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and talking or hearing./li/ulpYoull thrive at IPS if you/pp Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
