Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, with skills in general, breast, and cardiac MRI exams.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting in an MRI department
• Mobile MRI Tech role with potential float between two clinic locations
• Patient population spans a range of MRI exam types including general, implant, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac studies
• Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM); 4x10 or 3x12 shift configurations may also be considered
• Some Saturdays required (8:00 AM–4:00 PM); Saturday shifts are scheduled in rotation and total hours remain at 40 per week
• No on-call requirement
• Charts in Epic (experience preferred)
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment; Sectra PACS experience preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Proficiency in general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• A radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by the agency — the facility does not supply badges to travelers
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols across a variety of exam types for physician interpretation
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on unit needs
• Scrub colors are teal top and black pants
• Orientation modules are completed prior to the start of the assignment
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November, with peak activity in August and September), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
