Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department treating both pediatric and adult patients, requiring at least 1 year of ED experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Acute care hospital Emergency Department treating both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12 hour schedule from 10:45 to 23:15
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required outside the unit
• Uses Epic charting system
• Utilizes glucostabilizer equipment

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Preferred certifications: ENPC and TNCC
• Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, and medication administration
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Triage experience required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across general adult/pediatric and pediatric-specific emergency department settings
• Navy scrub color required
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility and local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months with a required 3-month break in service thereafter
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
