Unit Installer (Apprentice Refrigeration Technician) As a well know Carrier Refrigeration, Volvo, and Hino dealership, we have 15 locations throughout Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Tennessee. If you are mechanically inclined and looking to get your foot in the door and start a career, this is the position for you! SUMMARY: Works with Senior Technicians while performing mechanical equipment repairs of refrigeration units and APU's in the shop. Maintenance work is assigned in accordance with Gateway Truck & Refrigeration and factory standards. JOB DUTIES:Working with a Senior Technician while performing mechanical repairs of refrigeration units and APUs in the shop and at customer locations.Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs, including identifying warranty repairs.Accurately identify components that need repaired or replaced.Place parts orders through our parts department as needed.Diagnose malfunctions and update the customer on needed repairsIdentify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair orderComplete required documentation for work order files and customer billing by accurately logging (on and off) all repair orders via the Karmak system.Always maintains a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and other applicable regulationsOther duties as assigned.
