Staff Design Quality Engineer (Mechanical)

Responsibilities

Partner with R&D to ensure mechanical designs meet quality and manufacturability requirements
Lead risk management activities including developing plans, conducting reviews, and verifying control effectiveness
Support process control implementation with operations and suppliers for mechanical components
Participate in design reviews and track mitigation of risks across development phases
Lead design validation activities including human factors evaluation and performance assessment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
4+ years experience in quality, manufacturing, new product development, or engineering
Medical device or manufacturing industry experience preferred
Knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 standards
Proficiency with advanced quality tools including FMEA, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
Data analysis and statistical process control experience
Six Sigma or ASQ CSQE certification preferred

Compensation: $89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
