Clinical Research Program Manager, Oncology Operations (Academic Medical Center)

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinical Research Program Manager with a strong background in oncology research and academic medical centers to lead complex, high-impact clinical trial programs at the forefront of innovation. In this role, you won’t just manage operations—you will shape the direction and execution of a dynamic oncology research portfolio, partnering closely with physician-scientists, cross-functional leaders, and institutional stakeholders. Your expertise in clinical research operations, including regulatory compliance (FDA, IRB, GCP), study coordination, and staff development, will directly influence the advancement of novel therapies and improve outcomes for patients facing cancer We are seeking a leader who understands the rigor and pace of academic research environments and brings a deep commitment to scientific integrity, operational excellence, and patient-centered outcomes. What You’ll Do: Provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of oncology clinical trials within an academic medical setting. Drive program governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (FDA, IRB, GCP) while maintaining efficiency and quality. Serve as a trusted partner to Principal Investigators and senior leadership, advising on program strategy, feasibility, and execution. Establish and continuously improve operational workflows, metrics, and quality standards across studies. Lead, mentor, and develop research staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Independently make critical decisions impacting program operations, timelines, and resource allocation. What Sets You Apart Proven experience managing oncology clinical research programs within an academic medical center. Strong understanding of complex clinical trial design, regulatory frameworks, and research infrastructure. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment Confident communicator with the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams Passion for advancing cancer research and improving patient outcomes. High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 5 years of experience in management, program/project management, or a related field.
