Travel ED Charge Nurse

Position Travel ED Charge Nurse Location Lewiston, Maine Department Emergency Services Shifts Available Days and Nights Pay Up to $1,491–$2,067 gross pay per week; equivalent to $41.44–$57.43 per hour, plus a $3 per hour differential. Assignment Length 12 weeks Responsibilities Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts. Ensures safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments. Supervises, coaches, and supports staff development. Assists with performance management and HR-related activities. Monitors supplies, equipment, and unit readiness. Coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed. Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience. Provides direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels. Qualifications Current and valid state RN license. Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance thereafter. Current ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance thereafter. Current PALS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance thereafter. Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting with an ED setting required.
