Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is hiring Warehouse Associates for our client in Broome County, NY! This position requires employees to work in a warehouse setting, picking goods, packaging picked boxes onto pallet jacks, and coordinating with other team members to deliver goods to the shipment area. We have immediate openings for Warehouse Associates, Package Handlers, and Inventory Specialists on the 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities

• Quickly and accurately receive, process and store incoming product shipments.
• Prepares, packs, and scans (as appropriate), and stages products for transfer and customer pick-up and delivery in accordance with established standards.
• Ensures shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are documented and recorded.
• Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verify accurate and full delivery.
• Stores incoming products in proper location according to product sequence.
• Monitors equipment and promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors
• Break down boxes, stock accessories and organize inventory as directed
• Adhere to health & safety policies and quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, etc.
• Open boxes and other containers when necessary.
• Pick products and make sure it shows the correct selection of lot numbers/product codes.
• Record amount of material using site specific equipment to update inventory.
• Arrange stock parts in specific order for assembly.
• Communicate damaged products to inventory or lead/supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Prior experience with material handling equipment is a plus!
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs repetitively throughout the shift.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.

The estimated hours salary range for this position is $16-$21 per hour, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
