Airport Equipment Mechanic

The Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Airport Equipment Mechanic position in our Facilities division. This position performs journey-level work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of highly complex luggage movement systems, jetways, commercial overhead doors, vehicle gates, automatic doors, and triturators throughout the DOA airport system. Further, this position performs mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem diagnosis on electrical components and automated control components. This recruitment may be used to hire for various groups within Facilities including, but not limited to, Baggage Handling System (BHS) and Airport Equipment Systems (AES). This is an open and continuous recruitment; scheduling dates will vary depending on when the application was received and reviewed by Employee Services. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months at either level or may be extended as needed by Employee Services.
