Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty in Gadsden, Alabama
Community Health Systems
Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Family Medicine Physician to join our Family Medicine Residency Program in Gadsden, Alabama as Core Faculty.
Position Highlights:- Practice and teach comprehensive family medicine, including newborn and pediatric care, adult medicine, and geriatrics.
- Provide clinical supervision of residents in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Provide clinical supervision in the inpatient hospital setting (1 week/4-5 weeks)
- Participate in weekly didactic lectures, including procedural and clinical workshops.
- Serve as a resident advisor, mentor, and role model
- OB optional
- Medical student teaching and supervision
- Opportunities for supported volunteer international work

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is a 346-bed acute care hospital located in Gadsden, Alabama, approximately 60 miles northeast of Birmingham. The hospital offers a broad range of services, including emergency care, cardiology and cardiac surgery, cancer care, women’s and children’s services, and inpatient and outpatient surgical services across multiple specialties. Gadsden Regional serves as a major healthcare provider for Etowah County and the surrounding region.
CommunityGadsden is situated along the Coosa River in northeast Alabama and offers outdoor recreation such as fishing, boating, hiking, and golf. Located within a few hours of Birmingham, Atlanta, and Nashville, the city combines natural beauty with historic downtown dining and cultural attractions.
