Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required; documentation must be submitted with your resume)
• Experience in Special Education settings, specifically within elementary resource programs

• Knowledge of effective behavior interventions, IEP processes, and differentiated instruction
• Commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support as an onsite Special Education Teacher for elementary students (K-5)
• Effectively manage a caseload within a resource program, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating seamlessly with general education staff, parents, and related service providers
• Adapt instructional resources to meet students’ unique learning needs and monitor their ongoing progress
• Encourage curiosity and participation in Monroe Elementary’s hands-on, project-based curriculum focusing on STEM and engineering concepts

This is a Monday through Friday role, with 37.5 hours per week, located at a forward-thinking elementary campus that integrates mathematics, science, and children's engineering into daily learning. Your expertise in special education will help shape critical skills and confidence in students with learning differences.
