Intern for a Day Program

The UGA Intern For A Day program is the Career Center’s job shadowing initiative to connect students with real world industry experience. By registering you will have the opportunity to network with employers, explore a career path, and connect classroom learning to industry trends. This can be an industry related to your major or a chance to try a different field. Our program’s structure empowers you with the flexibility to plan a shadow day at a time that works best for your schedule. This is a one-day job shadowing experience that can take place in-person or virtually for either a full day or half-day. How it works: Employers volunteer themselves to host each semester. To start, create your profile and begin searching for employer’s posted job shadowing opportunities. You will be able to filter your search on a variety of criteria including industry, major, in-person or virtual, and more. You will apply to the opportunities directly by uploading your resume and submitting a short statement of interest. Check out our resources on building your resume. As you apply to various postings, you will be ranking each application based on your interest and which employer you wish to be matched with.
