Supervisors are responsible for leading their shift or assigned area of the operation, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations. They coach, train, develop, and support their teams while driving engagement and accountability. In addition, they play a critical role in continuous improvement efforts, operational excellence, and achieving key customer performance metrics.

Essential functions include supervising, coordinating and overseeing day to day logistics operations; planning and reviewing all logistics processes in collaboration with the Logistics Manager; establishing work schedules and procedures and coordinating activities of the workers; accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI); working in collaboration with customer in all aspects of operations; meeting regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes; cultivating team spirit with a Diversity and Inclusion initiative and promoting cooperation by seeking opportunities to improve internal processes; carrying out performance evaluations of the team members and recommending performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate; addressing performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process; responsible for implementation of health & safety and security initiatives, practices and behaviors and adherence to company rules and policies; providing appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands and giving them the information, technology and any material necessary to perform their jobs.

Qualifications include H.S. Diploma/GED, 0 to 1 year in direct supervisory/leadership experience, 1 year or more in experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment.
